every time i fucking find more little girl music that the rap, alt pop, and tech music oriented genres it makes me smile and grin so fucking wide.
when i was a young teen and in my 20s there just wasn't any music, songs, media for us empowering us or putting us really in an celebrated and cherished nature. everything just felt like opposition, manipulation in a non fun and consensual way, and in a very controlling slimey and gross way peeking and peering through for the media, the people, and the guys that actually respected us instead of seeing us as some weird device to use.
and damn...ever since 2013 apparently at least in the media and music it's been babies muther fucking up and it's just a glorious time.
2024 is the best time for little girls to be out there living life, accepting of ourselves, and proud of who we are. and i love the girlies out there that are making it happen for us.
i've added so much to my 'babygirls talking their shit' playlist i made public awhile ago as the music gods kept giving me gold.
while all of them were great these are some amazing standouts.
the sweet lullaby and criby vibe of the music and the mesmerizing patty cake vibes of the chorus is so top teir.
this one blew my mind and totally mind melded my little girl because it's intricate noises and fast transitions was such an amazing mindscape journey.
when it wasn't cool to fuck with japan and it's culture, energy, and essence, and land as a black kid to see now the revival of fellow black people that have deep appreciation and understand of it's pros and cons and a balanced view of a deep spiritual pull and resonance with it...yeah...just hella cool.

this one is kinda a tangential one because not all little girls or spiritual or into yoga but i was like damn brooke candy is literal soul tribe when i found this. princess, blue mermaid vibes, tattoos, and yoga with sexuality and bravado. damn how did you read my mind. when i found this i was wondering who the fuck broke out my imaginary diary and wrote a song about me. haha it's funny because while there is the tantra section of that entire community is very asexual and almost very love and light even though the whole union of mind and body and connection to source is also about accepting the darkness and getting connected to the dark, murky, icky, and raw parts of you in order to transmute anything that puts you back...i never quite understood that....but then again when kali claims you as one of hers that love and light asexual vibe wouldn't really resonate with me anyway. we're speaking two different languages. but brooke and only fire are definately tribe vibes.
