What are ground rules? These are the basic rules that apply to anyone you play with, and are best laid out at the start.
Ground rules may vary from person to person and scene to scene, but should not be confused with deal breakers. The key difference is that a deal breaker is something you don't want around you at all, while ground rules are what you set, typically at the beginning of the scene.
Ground rules are also sometimes expressed as boundaries, and vice-versa, but they're not the same thing. Ground rules are hard no's, while boundaries typically set a limit to how much of something someone will accept.
