A word of advice to give as much as you get
Post Body

Give as much as you get

Even though this wasn't your usual "hi" message, it was still quite low effort

I was hopeful at first when I saw she had responded to the potato prompt but the subsequent messages were a wtf moment for me

To be honest, it was too long. I just caught the potato bit and message you right away

I’ve just been wanting to find a new connection with someone and I’m trying out reddit.

I made a bumble account last Thursday but deleted it last Friday.

Dating there felt like choosing food from a menu based on pictures. Weird

  1. Put in the effort please, as much as the other person has put in. At least see if the both of you have something in common before you send a message. If not it's just gonna be a waste of time on both of our parts
  2. Don't do the very thing you say you don't like. If you're looking for a genuine and authentic connection, be genuine and authentic too. If you're turned off by the superficial, dont do superficial things either
