Frailty

whenever he comes across something that resembles frailty or carries the marks of hurt and pain, he sees himself reflected in it. He recognizes the scars of his own wounds in the cracks and crevices of the world around him and nods in acknowledgment. But he steers clear of anything that smacks of abuse or violence, never allowing himself to form a connection with that kind of darkness. Perhaps he fears that delving too deep into that realm would stir up something inside him that he'd rather keep buried
