Another unfulfilled fantasy of mine relates to an old coworker. I'm in education, and prior to taking on a new role, I was teaching at the high school level. For a few years, I shared teaching responsibilities with a tall, muscular, salt-and-pepper History teacher. Definitely had a George Clooney thing going on, and I was HERE. FOR. IT.

I taught American history with him for 3 or 4 years, and spent many class periods daydreaming about what I'd do to him as he lectured about Reconstruction, The Gilded Age, WWI, etc...and all I could hope was he did the same thing when it was my turn to be in front of the classroom.

One day after a particular tragedy happened in an elementary school, he came into a classroom that I shared with another teacher to tell me that the news had hit him deeply and he may need me to take over teaching a couple class periods. We were talking about how to discuss the sensitive topic with our students, and the coworker I shared a classroom with was butting in, sharing his unwelcomed and unhelpful solutions. At one point, my crush lost it, standing up and yelling at this guy from across the room to shut up and keep his opinions to himself.

Not going to lie, him going from deeply hurt to incredibly angry while standing up for his beliefs was a huge turn on...his raised voice and powerful body in a rage. Whew. I still think about it when I see him in the halls.

Maybe one day I can make it happen 😘
