I fell off the criminal minds wagon a while back and now I'm rewatching everything to catch up with the final season. Join me in spazzing about small details and everything criminal minds in general!

This is the episode where the team have to piece together a child abduction case in New Jersey.

• oh no a child crime episode :(
• CM really shines with their handling of crimes against kids, every episode so far has hit hard
• the flow of this episode is so much faster than usual - no jet scene, few team moments - it really nails the sense of urgency
• yes to hotch slamming down on the table
• this is one of the few eps where you can visibly see the team shaken as well - emily's reaction to finding Kyle's body in the woods :(
• little moments like morgan side-eyeing the detective in the background are the subtle acting touches i appreciate
• emily has the sweetest way of talking to kids man oomf my prentiss flavoured heart
• the kids who turn out to be murderers are so scary
• i know it was supposed to be a serious scene, but danny menacingly chewing his chips is hilarious

this was a solid, but somehow still somewhat forgettable episode.
