Unable to Chat on Reddit. #!$%

I see a chat notification when I log into reddit.
Unfortunately, due to some annoying bug, reddit chat is not loading for me. It has been on and off for quite a while but it is absolutely maddening now. It never loads.
So if you are trying to contact me, I hope you see this and reach out in a message instead.
I'll ask that you get an element.io account so that we can have a saner chat there. I'll share my chatroom in the message.
