First off, relax, I'm not leaving Reddit... For now.
But I've been wanting to try and branch out with where I post. Ironically, I am very... Not social media-y. However, it was recently brought to my attention that I NEED to have social media as a creative. And while I get a bit of stuff here on Reddit, the reach must be extended.
As a lot of you know, I post all my stuff on A03 (Archive of Our Own). They are staunchly anti-censorship and have a tagging system that I love. BUT, it is ultimately a fanfiction site, first and foremost. So original works don't really get a lot of traction.
I finished a manuscript "recently" and pitched it to an agent. (I've been trying to also upload and keep content chugging while also juggling responsibilities at my new job, place of living, and being a pet owner)
It was rejected, but it taught me a lot about the process and industry that's beyond what I've been doing. And a big question that was pitched to me was: Are you willing to create social media for your works?
So, I'm trying to branch out a bit. Something I've been doing is making novelizations of my scripts, so they might be X reader, or they might be traditional works. I'm not sure just yet. (might do a poll and possibly a mix of the two) I've tried a few things and am hoping something will work. I'm still going to try and get out scripts and the occasional saucy image.
Anyway, I hope I can continue to entertain.
I'll post links soon.
