Post Body

So I just found out you left today. Don’t know if you’ll even see this, but -

Hope you’re being kind to yourself. Give yourself a generous amount of time to heal, just think about how much more time you will have to feel content and happy. At some point in the future everything will be ok again.

Not sure if you know, but I did start to think about some things differently after what you said about realising some people are just watching other relationships and copying what they are doing to pretend that they are in love. In my own interpretation, always think about if we love the feeling of being loved rather than the feeling of being with a specific person.

Also along the same line, I’m convinced sometimes we’re just pretending to know what we’re doing with our lives by comparing ourselves to other people, who are also pretending to know what to do. We don’t suddenly wake up one day and have a perfect life all figured out.

Just saw Simon Gray’s Cell Mate. In the last scene after Bourke finally had the courage to leave Blake after the big confrontation, it just ended with a loud noise and then total darkness. My first reaction was Blake betrayed him and he got shot. But reading the story it was supposed to be the sound of the door closing as Bourke fled - so apparently I’m super affected by my own pessimism. Maybe you just quit, or maybe you have figured things out and moved onto new things. I’m suddenly hopeful it’s the latter.

Remember healing yourself is not a waste of time.

See ya.

(Have that steak with ketchup if it makes you happy, who cares)
