Tennessee Roadtrip Update--best hike NOT in the Smokies?

Post Body

I got so many good recs last time I posted here, but I have one more! I'm in Memphis tomorrow and then will cross the state to the Great Smoky Mountains. It's probably too long a drive to do in one day (5 hours makes me a grump), so if I wanted to break it up, where would I stop to get in a really lovely hike? There are 50 state parks!

My sweet spot is 3-6 miles, with something interesting to look at. Rock scrambles are always fun. I don't expect elevation gain to be a big issue out here, but my knees don't love long vertical descents. Car has 4 wheel drive. Thanks!
