What are you on about? I don't receive any sort of commission from redgifs.
Redgifs is required for NSFW videos as Reddit don't let you upload NSFW videos through their own upload system.
The Reddit browser site AND mobile app both play audio, just not for Redgifs links. Redgifs changed their settings in 2022 which prevent their shared links from playing audio on Reddit.
