Idk how to preface this post. Basically, I keep finding myself in situations where I feel like being true to myself means possibly having the people in my life turn against me. And I have so few of those people. I am just really tired of it. I want to be able to acknowledge what my beliefs and likes truly are without that happening. I find that as a culture we increasingly tolerate differing views less, and it's suffocating.

I just want to be able to talk to people without the assumption that I don't/won't believe or do anything they disagree with. So because of that, I wrote a very long and detailed list of every belief, like, or behavior regarding me that might turn people away. (That I could think of)

If you're also interested in having someone who will try to treat you like I just described, consider hitting me up. I will try my best to adhere to the standard that I believe in. And in some aspects I'd rather chat with a tolerant and open-minded person I have less in common with than someone who agrees with me on 95% of things but dehumanizes or dismisses me for the 5% I don't.

Also I want to note - My belief in tolerance does not necessarily mean tolerating being treated poorly in other ways. Just because I believe in mutual understanding and tolerance doesn't mean I believe in letting yourself be walked all over.

Anyway here's the list:

-I'm bisexual

-I have been vegan twice, and once I feel confident that I've gotten past some mental health issues around eating, I may become vegan again

-I am pretty sure I'm poly, although I don't have a ton of experience

-I'm into or at least open to lots of different kinks, and supportive of more or less every one I'm not, outside of anything that isn't between consenting adults

-I am an age regressor

-I often consider taking my appearance in a more feminine/androgynous direction, though I have yet to really follow through much and I kinda change my mind on what I want to look like a lot

My views:

[I don't even necessarily want to discuss any of these things, I just am tired of people casually saying things that I vehemently disagree with and expecting me to act like it's common sense]

-I am anti-religion

-I am anti-capitalism and pro economic democracy

-I believe in pretty much absolute freedom of personal choice as long as nobody is being harmed

-Bc of that there are few to zero “weird” things that I believe in judging, and it often bothers me when others do

-I don't believe in norms, roles, or expectations being placed on people based on their sex

-I believe ppl should be able to act/look how they want, and alter their bodies how they want

-Although, I'm not sure I believe in the concept of gender altogether, including the concepts of being transgender or non-binary

-I do however believe in the concept of “biological sex”, even if I hate how society bases so much around it arbitrarily

-I wouldn't call the system of oppressive sex-based rules and expectations that plague society “the patriarchy”

-I believe both men and women have unique issues they face based on sex that need to be addressed

-I don't believe in anything I would call “institutional” racism

-I do, however, believe police violence is rampant and constantly goes unpunished, and that police disproportionately (but nowhere near exclusively) harm certain groups like the mentally ill, homeless, men, black people, etc.

-I do believe also that capitalism is rigged against those who start off with less and that economic mobility and opportunity under capitalism are at least greatly exaggerated

-I do believe in “cancel culture”

-I am both very pro free speech, and very anti corporations having power over speech and communications platforms

-I am very anti-dehumanization, and I genuinely believe in trying to see the humanity in even the worst people(and that doesn't mean I am a pacifist)

-I also believe in trying to understand people you vehemently disagree with, and being open to genuinely listening to others’ point of view, so that hopefully others might do the same
