I was looking for a update on the next generation intel N305 CPU, and this rabbit hole got me to find this two sku’s that has been produced since Q2 2024, what is funny about them is the one SKU focused on low power but higher iGPU the higher you go up the stack , and the other SKU gets more core’s and higher iGPU the more you go up the stack,
That is one noteworthy thing though they only work on LGA-1700/1851, so they are not meant to be used in handhelds or laptops And the price for the CPUs range from 100 to 300 €/$, and I’m already able to order them where I’m from and the only difference from the MSRP is 20 €\$ where I can get them
So tell in the comments what do you think about this line up
I’ll be posting the links to the “product overview” where are you can see the information and SKU’s
The reason I was dubbing them “Iris CPUs” is when they introduced the 11th GEN laptop CPUs, they actually increased the iGPU amount of shader units and the speed of it, so it was usable for gaming”within reason of it’s capabilities” and with those changes did the iGPU get the name “iris XE” and these new CPUs seem to have a focus on integrated graphics with this lineup.
