Hello r/UCSD! We're sure many of you have already heard, and those of you in wave 1 have probably been getting notifications, but if you haven't already you should update your password now to meet the new minimum password requirements! (okay, here's an actual link to the new requirements)

If you are in Wave 1, your deadline is tomorrow so please update your password before midnight tonight! If you don't update it now you will be required to tomorrow.

To reset your password, please go to password.ucsd.edu.

Why the reset? Over the last few months, many advancements were made to the UCSD student account systems, including a new password reset tool hosted at password.ucsd.edu, longer allowable password lengths, and the checking of new passwords against known compromised passwords, amongst other changes. As these pieces have been recently completed, we're having all students reset their passwords to ensure they meet best practices and are secure.
