This is something I have to remind myself often. I get anxious very easily, and thus I often find myself feeling bad over small things or really for no reason at all. Obviously feeling anxious, sad, angry, or any other negative emotion is never fun. But it's normal. It's human.
Our emotions exist for a reason. They're there to tell us when something is wrong, or when they think something is wrong. I encourage everyone out there to listen what your emotions are trying to say. Once you've heard them out, then you can choose whether they're worth addressing or if you should just let the feeling pass. For example, my anxiety flares up because it thinks I'm in a dangerous situation. It's getting intense because it wants to protect me, even in situations where I don't need the protection of an anxious adrenaline rush.
Let's face it, our brains still think we're running from predators in the jungle. That means sometimes our emotions can change for ridiculous reasons. But whether or not they do or don't, just remember that you don't have to be ok all the time. If I don't have to be happy 24/7, then neither do you. Nurture your emotions, hear them out, and allow yourself to feel the way you do. It's healthy.
