I suppose that these kinds of anniversaries are designed to prompt reflection and I am prone to that sort of thing anyway, so I thought I would take a moment and put down a few thoughts about the past year.

The thing I think about the most, and which has the most meaning to me, is the connections I have made with people. Some of those have been very personal and magical, others more distant. But all of them have been special to me. People have shared so many things with me about their own experiences and journeys in this space and to have been a part of that has been privilege and an honor.

If I have been able to help others explore something about themselves, try something new or uncomfortable for them, pick up a mic and record something, or decide to put their own thoughts, feelings, and fantasies into words and scripts, then I have accomplished more than I ever thought possible in this space.

When I started writing scripts here, I decided the only way I could do it was to try to be true to myself. To write what I knew and loved and not worry about what people thought of it. That creates some vulnerability from time to time. But it also creates a wonderful feeling of liberation.

I thought that if I was able to do that for myself, maybe it would help others do the same and maybe the world would be just a little bit more free, a little bit kinkier, and a whole lot more fun.

I think we need that.

I've never cared much about upvotes. Or downvotes. Though I must confess a talent for acquiring the latter at the expense of the former.

What I do care about is the people behind the mic, or the words, or the screens. I think the audio world can be a beautiful, empowering, and amazingly erotic space. A world we can let loose with our imaginations and play.

I want to encourage as many people as I can to explore their own erotic imaginations and to give them resources to do that if I can.

So for the next year, I intend to keep doing what I do and hope people continue to come along on the ride with me.

The goal for me is to pay attention to the people and things that matter, ignore the things that don't, and strive to do an increasingly better job of knowing which is which.
