It was one of those late summer days made for doing nothing. As the trees swayed and a gentle cooling breeze swept through the trees rocking my hammock i started to rouse. After spending the morning chopping down trees and the afternoon napping i figured i should rinse off in my outdoor shower. It would be pretty easy, considering i had already been sleeping nude outside.

I walked to the tiny one room cabin of the far flung property i had inherited and grabbed a towel to rinse off after i was done. This place was my own private oasis, shielded from view of the road by stands of trees and nosy neighbors by miles of separation. Well, except Steve and Kathleen (Kat). But they never bothered me.

As i went to leave the cabin with my towel i felt a sudden yank and heard the thunk of the solid door closing. My stupid towel must have some whole gotten stuck, but that could quickly be remedied by… “ohhhhh shit” i said aloud. The lock must have tripped somehow.

A small pit in my stomach started to grow. My car keys, clothes, and everything else aside from a pair of work boots were now locked inside this cabin. What was i going to do?
