As I watch the world unfold, I realise being black is like being a spiritual being watching the world collapse to the atrocities committed against your ancestors.

Every time a non-POC lights up with an ignition for activism, that light was already imbued into me at a very early age. All I can do is watch as they get to babystep their way into the atrocities of the world whilst I am currently an adult living in it. I feel like a wise tree in comparison to a child navigating the world through newer lenses.

All I can do is hope and pray that the seeds I spread are meaningful and not bastardized for the consumption of others, whether poisonous or not.
