Hello to the rare and the few. There are more than fifty of you, now, thank you!
I've just posted a new and very weird (well, alien is the word...) script for a feel good / guided meditation audio, and I felt like, you'd perhaps enjoy some sources that inspired me this rather strange thing.
First, there is this music, mixing the most basic binary electro music with waltz, yes, waltz and centered on a crazy piano riff. This rhythm is the rhythm of the huge landship slowly sliding on the ice, pulling its mass on leg that don't support it, but pull, push, and otherwise move it through the landscape.
Then there is this big machine itself. I feel like it is the enlarged and scifi themed version of the traverses, real "ice trains" that slowly criss-cross Antarctica from it's coasts to the living bases inland, especially Concordia, Vostok and the US South Pole Base. These machines go through 2000 to 3000 km of white featureless land at a good 11 km/h. From Dumont d'Urvile to Concordia, a round-trip takes about 1 month, including 24 days on the road.
And then, the spires. Yes, they do exist, on our earth. They can be found in the somital area of mount Erebus, in Antactica (where else?). I could link them, but I prefer to directly offer them to your view, because I feel like, it has to be seen at least once.
The description of the spacesuit was inspired by this beautiful picture by Chris Chui at Artstation. Beside the verisimilitude and excellent rendering of this image, what strikes me is the mixture of badassery and total lack of aggressiveness. The guy is just standing in from of you, unarmed. What is going on inside is only my own creation, of course. But, to be honest, there are too many straps on this spacesuit for them to be for practical purposes only :-))
