I just wanted to shout into the echo chamber for a moment and rile up some "oh yeah, that's true"s has anyone else noticed the insane amount of Psych copy cat episodes? I love Psych but there's quite a few:

Mr. Monk Goes to the Theater

Lights Camera Homocidio

Both episodes feature the cast visiting a set. The killers frame their respective patsies by swapping a prop knife for a real one.

I forget the titles but there's an episode of Psych shot like found footage by Lassiters sister whose making a documentary about her brother. Shawn steals the show with his detection skills. In Monk, Karen makes a documentary and Adrian similarly impresses documentarian over a dejected Stottlemeyer. Though Monk's arc drops the adversarial Protagonist v Cops paradigm much sooner than Psych does.

Both shows did a Kung Fu episode

I know there's a few more. Psych was incontrovertibly creative, but I just find it interesting how many concepts they piggybacked off of.
