google: reddit "post insights" hide OR remove OR "turn off" OR disable

8/27/2024: Note that I'm using Firefox (version 129.0.2 on Windows 10), with the extension "uBlock Origin" already installed, so you should adapt this procedure to your particular browser and system (e.g., Chrome on Macintosh, etc.).

• Select and copy the following to your Clipboard, with no spaces: www.reddit.com,sh.reddit.com##div[slot="post-insights-panel"]
• go to Firefox->Tools->Settings->Extensions & Themes
• scroll down to the row for "uBlock Origin"
• confirm that the "on/off" button looks blue so you know that that extension is enabled
• on the far right on that row, click the "3-dots" icon (...)
• in the menu that appears, click Options
• in the "dashboard" that appears, on the top row click "My filters"
• make sure that "Enable my custom filters" is checked
• click in the big white text box that has line numbers ("1, 2, 3" etc.) down the left side
• Paste in the text from above; don't try to re-type it! : )
• make sure that no extra characters got inserted
• at the top left, click the blue "Apply changes" button
• go back to your "https://www.reddit.com/user/XYZ" page and Reload/Refresh it
• you should see those big "Post Insights" boxes disappear!

And then here are two quick ways to get those "Post Insights" back:

• EITHER go to uBlock Origin's dashboard (see above for the steps), click to uncheck "Enable my custom filters," click "Apply changes," then refresh your "/user/XYZ" page
• OR in Firefox's Tools->Settings->Extensions & Themes, on the "uBlock Origin" row, click the blue "on/off" button to disable it, then refresh your "/user/XYZ" page
