It has come to my attention (again…. 😮‍💨) that Reddit chat is bugging again.

At the moment, chats only seem to work for me on desktop, not in the app. Not sure why, as usually removing ánd re-downloading the app works, but not this time. Chats just don’t update, don’t show messages, no notifications, or my messages just don’t go through. Sometimes I can’t even click to open the chat. I’m not shadowbanned, so it should not be happening.

If I didn’t respond to you: I’m sorry. I’ve responded to all chats up until this morning, so if I didn’t answer, it is due to this issue.

I’ve contacted Reddit about this, as it’s annoying af.

Feel free to ping me in the chat, in the hope that that would work. Alternatively, comment on this post and I’ll message you in case that somehow resolves issues.

And as always: please let me know if you know of a better platform. I love Reddit (especially the subreddits and social contacts here), but these bugs start to become disruptive af.

Apologies for any inconvenience; I really hate how this comes off as ghosting. Please know I don’t ghost at all, as I believe that to be an awful way to treat someone.
