Vent incoming.
It baffles me how often I receive messages of just guys (never other genders, shockingly) asking me why I’m still single. Their reasons are often one of the following:
- I’m good-looking/attractive;
- I’m intelligent;
- I have many guys interested in pursuing a relationship with me.
And although all of them are obviously true, none of them explain why I should want to be in a relationship. Because I hate to break it to you, but I really don’t.
I’m comfortable in my own skin, know what I want in life, am following my own dreams and take care of my own pleasures in life, and find people I like to surround myself with with ease. I don’t miss any kind of romantic relationship in my life at the moment, and have known for quite some time that an exclusive, monogamous relationship just isn’t for me. That might change in the future, but even I cannot see that far (even when consulting my tarot cards and crystal ball).
So next time you think my only value is to be in a committed relationship, please just find someone else to listen to your outdated and frankly degrading opinions, because it won’t be me.
Thank you! ✨
