Let me clear some things before I start:
This concept is heavily inspired by Victoria Aveyard's Red Queen series. HOWEVER, I try not to veer in the same direction as she went for obvious reasons (plagiarism)
I'm not a writer, if you call me one, then at least treat me as a newbie with little to no experience. That means criticisms are welcomed
I first imagined the story to be a fantasy-medieval type but I decided to go with 'explainable by science' trope. You can call this concept sci-fi
I wanted the story to tackle about the issues regarding racism and other political matters
Lastly, I'm not a native English speaker, hence the grammar and vocabulary lapses ............................
Humans are classified into six categories distinguished by their blood colors:
Red bloods for ordinary humans. They are experts in making machineries and tinkering with the stuff around them. They are the rarest type because the world is ran by ability-users and they can't compete with other humans. Most of them are slaves and/or blue-collar workers.
Orange bloods for Speedsters. They can manipulate their blood flow in order to achiever great speeds. However, their stamina aren't that different with other humans, therefore they cannot run for long periods of time. They are the weakest out of all the combat type blood.
Yellow bloods for Luz. They can manipulate light and shadows. Military personnel hire Luz to camouflage their units. They are non-combatant but they are very important in military unit.
Green bloods are for Healers. Healers can heal anyone and anything at the cost of their own blood. The greater the amount of blood they provide, the more potent the healing rate they can give. Of course they have the same amount of blood in their body like any other humans. If their abilities wete abused, that could pose harm to green bloods. The royal family and other nobles protect Healers and treat them like precious gems.
Blue bloods for Vanguards. The royal military unit is composed of blue bloods. They can manipulate their blood and concentrate them to a specific body part, making their bodies stronger than normal humans. The strength, however, depends on the amount of physical training they do.
Purple bloods for Royalties. They can manipulate their blood temperature, conjuring both fire and ice with little to no harm to their own bodies. Honestly I still can't decide how their abilities work, but I want to make them OP because, well, they are royals. They are power-trippers.
I still haven't decided the villains of the story. Obviously, most, if not all of Purple bloods are villains, but when I first wrote this I decided to add another set of villains. Originally, I created black bloods. They're like vampires that suck blood from any other blood types, making them super strong and super OP but I'm still debating on the concept. .........................
Your parents were red bloods. They were going to teach you how to handle machineries when you reach fifteen. That's the only type of education a red blood can get because they live in the harshest and poorest parts of the world.
As the day before your fifteenth birthday comes, you got involved in a minor accident while trying to mess with your father's equipments. A sharp metal scratched your forearm and made you bleed.
As your blood dripped, your parents and siblings were horrified with what they were seeing.
To your horror, you noticed that the blood coming out from your injury was white. .........................
I feel like I forgot some information but I'll edit this if I remember some things. ADHD stuff, forgive me.
