Post Body

Ah Sifu, a game that has a very unique art style and a very neat premise behind it.

I've been gaming for a long while now. This game is one that really intrigues me and not from a perspective that would normally get my attention. It's nothing like anything I've played before. That's what intrigues me most. I've played games like Mortal Kombat, but nothing where it's one dude versus a bunch and you just have to punch/kick your way through it.

I'm 24 years old, and by every right should be able to buy this game outright and easily. However, I've recent REALLY hit hard times financially. I'm behind on a couple student loan payments and I have another one coming this Sunday (Feb. 13th). This will leave me with maybe $20 if I'm doing math right. I currently work a part time job making $8.50 an hour, I'd be full time if it didn't cause me extreme anxiety to be at work.

That $8.50 an hour goes almost entirely into my student loan debt each month if I'm lucky. Having a serious fever 1 weeks ago and not being able to work for about a week really ruined my income for the beginning of this month.

Being able to come home from work and play a game that will challenge me would feel fantastic. And it would certainly be a good game to either record for YouTube or stream on Twitch to work toward my goal of monetization on YouTube or Partner on Twitch.

Another reason I would love to be able to play Sifu is because I love being able to support indie devs and that's been something I've been working to do as much as possible. They pour their soul into games, and I admire that. AAA games for a while now have become disappointing to me, but indie games are largely incredibly unique. I love supporting creativity like that when I can.

Finally, thank you for taking the time to read this rambling post, I hope you have a fantastic day!
