I don’t know if there’s a subreddit for this but if there is, point me to it and I’ll gladly repost it there.
So this happened today. I started working as a Shipt shopper/delivery person. Because I only scheduled myself to work 4 hours out of the day, I don’t have time to rest because once I finish one order, I have to jump right into another. Also I don’t drive so I have to use public transportation or walk to get around. Since it’s my first day, I only took on 3 orders. My second order is the largest and i was already exhausted. Even more so since I didn’t eat before work. So while keeping in contact with the customer, I told them several items couldn’t be accounted for and apologized. I dunno why I expected some frustration, but I did. But I got this instead:
Shipt Customer: No worries about it at all. Please get yourself a snack/ drink and add it to our order. We really appreciate you!
I was floored and almost started to cry! Tears of happiness obviously. I had already checked out when I got this response but I was so shocked and happy for this generosity I almost didn’t know what to do! This made the day worth it
