I’m considering trying to make a gif or two this week. So, big question, do you prefer photos or gif’s?
Just finished filming a few scenes and I have almost 30 full minutes of action footage to pull from so there is a lot of gifs to be made ASAP! 🤫 it’s all shot at 120fps so I can add silky smooth slow-mo sections to the longer gif’s.
I really appreciate the explanation! I’m certainly keeping pictures in the mix and as far as quality goes, all gif’s will also be shot on one or more Sony A7 series cameras with as much of it being in 4K format as possible.
That being said, I’m not sure if Reddit compresses or downsizes but I’m going to be 110% sure to keep the quality as high as it can be with the camera(s) I have available to me. (One day it’ll be on a Sony A1 with full on 8k and a 50mpx sensor. 😍)
If it is compressed on Reddit then I may have to see about what I can do and where I can host them in full quality without breaking my ever-shrinking piggy bank 😅😬
I’m also like shocked how many people like the Polaroid option and it makes me think that I should maybe allow people to request full-size prints. (Then I can be hung up on walls all over the place 😂)
I love sunflowers but…I don’t think I could manage a bee hive. I’m a bit too clumsy and would just be stung and swollen all the time 😬
Alright so the results are overwhelming in favor of gifs. Out of 290 total votes: 219 went to gifs, 25 to photos and 46 to pigeon Polaroids delivered by Pepe.
Guess that means I’m making and posting my first gif this week!
