Welcome back kind stranger,

I was scrolling back through some old posts and conversations and thought to myself that it might be a good idea to put my thoughts to paper- or, well, the digital equivalent thereof, you get the idea.

In the first year or two I was lurking here, I never posted, and exclusively messaged people when they made posts first. I had some nice conversations, and even made a real world friendship or two, but found a lot of the time, people just never answered, or fizzled out after a few messages, so I made the decision in 2023 to start posting to see if the experience was the same from the other side. The response can still be sparse at times, but I've found since posting, I have made better connections, both digitally, where I have better conversations with more likeminded people that go beyond a few messages and then spiral into nothing, and in person, where I've now been on couple first in person meetings, made some friends, and even gone on a few dates. I attribute that success to them having a better idea of who I am, and I appreciate the effort and initiative of people who are willing to take the first step and reach out.

Now, this might sound weirdly wholesome coming from someone who posts primarily to NSFW subreddits, but I made the decision to start by posting there because I want a relationship with someone who appreciates intimacy, whether that's friendship or romantic. I'm not just talking about physical intimacy- though I do enjoy that too, don't get me wrong here- but I want to be with someone I can be close to and who feels they can be close with me, physically, emotionally, and mentally, and in my experience interreacting with people from different places over the last two-ish years, those who lurk NSFW subreddits tend to be some of the most open individuals I've encountered. No, that's not a dirty joke, get your mind out of the gutter. I think that's because they're generally there because they crave intimacy, and while that's usually the physical kind, several also really appreciate other kinds as well, so I believe if someone is open to more extreme forms of physical intimacy like sex, they tend to be very receptive to the more extreme emotional and mental forms like being brutally open and honest with one another and actually making lasting connections with another human, and that's what I'm after most of all, so that's my primary reasoning for posting on those kinds of subreddits.

If you're here reading this because of a SFW post- or even a NSFW one- I'm not here just looking for sex. I'm likely some kind of demisexual, so I need a connection with you before I'd even consider anything physical beyond hugs and cuddles in the first place, so as much as I do like various forms of physical intimacy, I want to get to know you first and foremost, and your personality, head, and heart matter far more to me than any other anatomy you happen to posses.

If you're on the fence about messaging because of my post history, or if you don't think you know enough about me, I encourage you to take the plunge and reach out. I'm friendly and respectful, and I welcome any and all new connections, so the worst you'll get from me is a polite conversation, but hopefully we'll both get a new friendship, and maybe even more. We don't need much, just a simple hello is enough to start something great.
