"May you live in interesting times". It may be a myth that it was ever a curse in history, but I would much rather live in boring than interesting times. Boy do these times seem interesting.

In case you need to know, here’s my stance on a few things.

1. War is the most horrible catastrophe to befall a nation. Exceeded only by crushing tyranny. Ukraine is already subjected to this. Let us work to ensure Taiwan does not become another victim of either..

2. You have a right to your opinion. You have an obligation to make it an informed opinion. You do not have a right to your own facts.

3. Those for whom "the system" works, will work to conserve the system as is. As long as they can blind themselves to the difficulties of the system's victims, they do so with a clean conscience. This goes for most systems. I say that as someone who spent a lot of time blinding myself to the difficulties of those who are victims of the system.

4. Systemic racism in the United States is real, widespread, and especially so in the criminal justice system. We should teach this to our children so they can make it better.

5. January 6th, 2021 was absolutely an insurrection.

6. Let us unite on at least one obvious truth. Donald Trump should not serve as President of the United States again.

7. The Republican Party is manifestly uninterested in a more perfect Union, establishing Justice, insuring domestic Tranquility, promoting the general Welfare, or securing the Blessings of Liberty to the people of the United States. It has sold its soul entirely to power. It is a blight on America. I was once a proud Republican.
