To himself, he is no hero

But who can blame Old Wolf

with how the world has been to him.

To himself, he is not friendly

But yet will tell a random woman in emotional

pain to cry and hold her as she does.

To others, Old Wolf may seem cold and dark

But he is caring enough to make sure

his own is safe and sound.

To others, he may seem like one to avoid

But he is a strength and safety to those who

can sense him for what he is.

To myself, there is no “seems to be”

or assumptions about Old Wolf

For I see how blunt and honest he is.

To myself, he is the safety and security,

strength and determination, and confidence

I had lacked to my darkest of times with a clouded mind.

To myself, Old Wolf is a pillar of strength,

a boost of confidence, a source of wisdom,

my Mentor, and… my unconventional hero.
