Hey y'all, as usual I'm late to the party in seeing the mod post on Monstergirlcaps and I just feel the need to say my peace.
I knew as a member of the LGBTQ community that I was never the primary audience for that particular sub. Hell, 99% of content there was obviously made for and by cis straight men. I was under no illusions otherwise. Still, I posted and read and enjoyed my time there because, quite frankly, wholesome monstergirl stuff is and probably will always be my jam. I didn't expect to be catered to or anything ridiculous like that. However, the mod post that went up recently rubbed me all sorts of wrong.
I know nothing overtly hostile was said and wlw content was still extended the same limited and tentative green light it always has, but reading the tone of both the post and comments, I've decided to cash out while the gettin's good so to speak.
The incomplete stories currently on the sub will stay up but as of now I have no plans to complete them. Honestly, the whole place just seems... tainted to me, for lack of a better term. I'll be starting a new story on r/wholesomeMGstories shortly (once my computer is out of the shop) and once I've had time to cool off I'll take a look at hound in the hall and redemption of the penitent hero and see if they're something I'm compelled to complete (on a different sub)
I know some of you might think this is an overreaction (and most of you reading this really won't care because honestly there are a lot of better writers making mg content out there) but I've known enough people who "aren't homophobic" to understand when I'm not welcome and don't want to bother dealing with this kinda stuff during my relaxation hours.
-With regards, gratitude, and love, Jay
