It's no secret social media isn't the best for mental health, and I'm afraid reddit has really been taking a toll on mine. I enjoy posting on my different platforms daily, but reddit is an entirely different beast. When I make a post on Twitter, I may make a new video clip or edit a picture, come up with a caption, then post and forget about it so I can focus on my other daily tasks. When I go to post on reddit, I frequently make 20-30 posts a day. I've listened to complaints that creators post the same clips over and over so I try to make unique posts daily. I must check that I haven't posted it to that board in the last 30-90 days (depending on the rules of the board) and follow all the other rules of each specific board (for example: your caption must contain this word, your caption can't be a question, no pictures, etc). I spend significantly longer posting on reddit than any of my other socials combined.
Now who's saying I need to do all this posting? Well the answer is: no one. Posting to Reddit has always been my top platform for finding OF subscribers so I do have reason to be consistent in posting. However, I think there's been this unrealistic expectation set that all creators have to post to every subreddit every day to stay relevant. Reddit is algorithm based and no one really knows exactly how to crack it. So we all post on these boards but only one or two creators go viral daily. And sometimes the same creator who's able to post at a time no one else can will consistently have the top posts of the day while everyone else feels like they can't win. It's pinning us all against each other while we should see other creators as allies. When I post on Twitter, I don't feel like I'm competing with other people because I know my followers enjoy my content for xyz reason and I don't worry that them following someone else is a threat to me, because it isn't. Let’s also not forget I’m banned from the biggest pegging subreddit on the app because of one moderator having a problem with me 🙃
So, am I off Reddit completely? Well, no. Until I see a significant decrease in subscribers who find me through Reddit, I won’t be able to completely quit the app. But I am slowing way down. I will not be posting every day and I won’t be posting to quite as many boards. I’m spending way too much time on this and it’s taking away time I could be focusing on other platforms or creating more content. So if you see me post on Reddit I would appreciate you interacting with my content but also suggest you check out some of my other socials. As always, I post my newest porn clips to Twitter and that’s the best place if you want my spicy content. I’ve been pretty consistent on TikTok and Instagram with kinda sfw content, view during work hours at your own risk lol. I’m also going to start posting on Pornhub more frequently and I’ll try to let you know when there’s new videos to watch over there. If you made it this far, I appreciate your support and love making the best content I can for you all ❤️🫶
