I worked for a well known country wide food establishment that is popular this time of year. They get news coverage and usually a lined formed as far as the eye can see during the Holiday season just in order for customers to have their food product on their dinner table for their families to enjoy. Now this tradition in some families dates back generations I'm sure and this establishment portrays a "Good O'l American", "Wholesome" image to the public..I worked there as a seasonal worker and would do some unloading of the products as they were brought in by the semi...I noticed that the boxes were labeled "FOR INSTITUTIONAL USE ONLY" & "DO NOT RESALE OR REPACKAGE THIS ITEM"..From my understanding does the word "INSTITUTION" mean places like Jails, schools, hospitals etc..? Like is this product that tax payers have already paid for at one point? And for them to take it out the package and add a lil of this and a lil of that to the product, does it now make it their product that they can turn around and resale it back to the public? A public that has already paid for it once as taxpayers? The product is made by a well known Company that is probably the most well known company that produces this product..If this isn't common practice than doesn't this mean that the three parties involved which is, The company I worked for the company that produces the product & as much as I hate to say it, also the government, has at one point sat down at a table to discuss the details of how this establishment would be able to purchase this product being not qualified as an "Institution"? Or the price or shipping arrangements and such? This information if brought to the public attention would have the walls crumble of this business. How unfair is it that their product has been paid for once by the people and now have those same people standing in line for hours to pay for the same exact product that they have unknowingly have already previously paid for? Something fishy I'd say...Tell me if I'm off in my thinking and where in this chain of events does this make the relationship between the three parties involved something that would be legal and moral, understandable?
