About a month ago I found this incredible guest ranch in the PNW. I paid to stay the first time, but they loved how helpful I was around the place and invited me back for free any time. The owner said she needs a lot of help decorating the ranch for Christmas, so she asked if I could come for the week after thanksgiving. Well, here I am!
It’s just me, the owners, two herds of cattle (Texas longhorns make up half of them!), 35 horses, and an assortment of other fun little farm animals that I’ll be taking care of all week.
Everything about this place motivates me to work harder, make more progress, save some money and get the heck out of the city. I grew up in the mountains in a town with less than 1200 people, and I’m ready to go back to that slow living.
