I studied physics in high school, and was actually quite good at it, but circumstances led to me not pursuing it any further.
One thing has stuck in my mind after all these years. It was a conversation that ended up like this.
Me: so part of our ozone is made of plasma?
Teacher: yes that's correct, part of it is.
Me: and lighting is essentially pure plasma that creates an ozone when it reacts with are molecules?
Teacher: yeeeeessss that is technically correct
Me: so really we need to shoot lighting into the atmosphere to create plasma and rebuild the ozone?
(Obviously the classroom had a bit of a chuckle at this)
Teacher: yes that is one solution I suppose. It's more complex than that but I like your train of thought
Now with a new hole in the ozone, should we not be looking more towards this as we are in desperate need of a solution?
