"Just to get me juices flowin' again. . .my sweet-yet-salty, surprisingly viscous Goblin juices. . ."

You may have noticed that the Goblin was gone for a few days recently. This was not a deliberate vacation, but the unfortunate result of an impromptu (and false) sitewide ban. For about four days, the Goblin and I waited with bated breath for news about our appeal. . .and we're very, very happy it was approved! In truth, there should have never been any need to appeal, given that the ban which was issued was pretty obviously mistaken. The Goblin was banned for violating Rule 3 (posting intimate content without a person's consent), and the post which led to this ban was. . .just another script offer here on GWA, the only subreddit the Goblin's account participates in.

That's right, a plain old script offer. You can imagine why the ban came across as baffling: a text-only post leading to a text-only script offer was banned for leaking intimate images of a person without their consent. Or, phrased differently, the Goblin was banned for posting images despite having never posted an image.

"Wow, I really nailed it, didn't I?"

Reddit explained only that the post was removed with the use of "automation," which does not explain whether false reports were involved. It is possible someone abused the site's report feature to punish the Goblin (fair enough: he is a nasty little creature), or it is possible that some shoddy AI did this on it's own. Regardless, the Goblin has been returned after a human at Reddit took the time to look over the post, obviously finding it free of any rules-breaking activity.

While we waited for a response, I got in touch with GWA's mods and asked them to permit fills of the Goblin's scripts to remain up, which they kindly agreed to do. Many thanks to the mods for this!

So, why the break? Well, the whole ordeal was a little. . .well, exhausting. Not because any real work was involved, but because there was a very real possibility that this account would remain permanently banned based on a single appeal which might be read by an underpaid, overworked employee somewhere. . .if it was read at all. The thought of having to start over again, posting and reposting well over sixty scripts (and hoping another ban didn't roll in while doing so, since creating an alt for this purpose is, strictly speaking, trying to evade a sitewide ban) and reaching out to VAs who have filled my scripts to change links, etc. was disheartening, especially because of a ban which was so blatantly incorrect.

This has left the Goblin and I a little sad, and while we intend to come back soon enough, we'll be taking a week or two to get the aforementioned "goblin juices" flowing once more. We'll still be around, it will just be a bit before we get to posting scripts again! In the meantime, feel free to give his work a read, etc. Heck, coming back a fill or two would turn that toothy, menacing frown of his upside down in no time at all!

TL;DR The Goblin is taking a quick break from posting scripts, just a week or two. He'll be back, and will still be around to answer messages, leave comments and be a pest during this break!
