The Great Wave was a cosmic event that took Earth by surprise. A blast of energy originating from deep space washed over the planet affecting the population. While the vast majority of people weren’t affected by the blast, the unlucky few were subjected to a strange fate.

Around a million people from around the globe suddenly found themselves fused to whoever they were closest to at the moment. These fused individuals retained the memories of both their predecessors. Personalities clashed and melded awkwardly causing mass panic. Some fused individual’s minds never fully fused at all leading to confusion and lack of coordination.

Global response was immediate as world leaders began the process of studying this abnormal phenomenon. A city was constructed to house the newly fused people. Here they would create their own society while receiving support such as therapy. Special teams of scientists were also tasked with observing and interviewing the subjects to further understand what happened.

This city would be appropriately named, Harmony.

Hey! I'm looking for a partner for a story focused roleplay. I love a good amount of detail with longer posts ranging between 3-4 paragraphs and writing in third person. The above is mostly a general backstory that can serve as our roleplay's setting. I'm completely fine with changing it up and encourage my partner to throw in their own ideas. Please tell me your favorite colour in your first post.

For this roleplay, we'll be playing as citizens of this new city. This means we'll be playing fused individuals living in Harmony. This story can take many different routes such as slice of life or drama. What I'm itching to explore is complicated circumstances of their existence and their day to day interactions.

I'm also big on world building so I'd love if my partner and I could really build up how this city works. Everything from jobs, recreation etc. We could explore some therapy and how that would be approached in this city. Character wise, we can get really creative here. A fusion doesn't have to be just two people. It could be three, four etc. They don't even have to be the same gender, age and ethnicity. We can go absolutely wild with character creation!

Discord is my chosen platform for roleplay. I love gushing over our characters so things like pinterest boards, playlists and other related things are definitely something I'd be interested in.
