I am a member (Mysidia) on a number of different Twitch-related Discord servers, various channels; the unofficial Twitch subreddit r/Twitch, etc, but due to one server I happened to receive the below as one of the messages in my incoming DMs from this spambot that has clearly been tricking some people into clicking a malicious link by impersonating Discord themself.
The following is a screenshot example of a bogus message that I received from one of these "Discord Birthday" spam/scam bots:
> "To thank you for your loyalty on discord, we are setting up an event to get free boost. Must add it in all your servers and wait 24h."

Some notes: This particular scam seems to have been circulating fo a couple months. In the case I saw; the spammer apparently worked by fooling someone who has the Manage Server access on a server... These bots then proceed to further their scam by randomly DM'ing server memembers
The bot spammer in question must be having some recent success. I would suggest everyone, *especially* those who own or manage Discord servers be extra extra mindful when receiving any unsolicited DMs about possible phishing attempts or other scams, and be extra careful!
*Some Red flags found in the scam message this time*: To preface.. Discord is unlikely to ever approach users over a normal direct message to make announcements; There should be some indication of a legitimate user that is NOT the user's Name or Nickname. – Discord post their announcements most often in a dedicated window when logging in, or in dedicated parts of the application's user inteface; Secondly, the account username shown in the direct message shown above is tagged Bot and NOT "Verified" bot..
Official bots have a checkmark inside the "Bot" icon. Finally, the link prompts users to Invite said bot to their own server.
This one I already reported to Discord. Using the Instructions for reporting issues to Discord Trust and Safety
