Sup,
So a few weeks ago I went to go to record and my mic wasn't working properly at all. I'm kind of a stickler when it comes to this little thing I do for fun and if not like "perfect" I get frustrated ya know? I'm going to be back soon though, working on getting fixed and if I can't I'll get a new one. I miss making stuff, like a lot.
It's really a need and not a desire. I've been going through a bit of a rough patch in my life and talked to a close one recently and they basically said "you gotta focus on your own happiness". It's hard because I think just as humans we try to be all things for all the people we care about but if you do that and spread yourself too thin, you start to lose parts of yourself. Most people don't go out trying to intentionally hurt folk or anything but sometimes, especially in friendships, things have unforeseen consequences and it can take a toll on you.
Something I have to remind myself is a thing I heard somewhere that basically said "be mad at yourself once". Negativity towards yourself turns into negativity externally and its a hard thing to be aware of in the moment, especially when your well intended actions and words are taken differently.
Ultimately, you aren't responsible for other people's feelings which doesn't justify just straight shitty behavior but you gotta be your own biggest fan and love yourself. It's okay to be a little selfish. People are going to ride the flow with you or find a different body of water to reside in and that's okay. Some people just aren't meant to be in your life. Surround yourself with like minded people and find your tribe. It's okay to want to be happy.
Anywell, how are you? I hope you see a cool animal soon.
