Heart Sutra 마하반야 바라밀다심경  

When Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva was practicing profoundly prajna paramita, 관자재보살 행심 반야바라밀다 시

he observed that all five piles were empty, 조견 오온 개공

transcended all suffering and misfortune.  도 일체 고액

Shariputra, 사리자

The form doesn't differ from emptiness. 색불이공

Emptiness doesn't differ from the form. 공불이색

The form itself means emptiness. 색즉시공

Emptiness itself means the form. 공즉시색

Feeling, thought, will, awareness. 수생행식

These're the same. 역부여시

  Shariputra, 사리자

All objects itself is empty in shape, 시 제법 공상

Neither appear nor disappear, 불생불멸

Neither dirty nor clean, 불구부정

Neither increase nor decrease. 부증불감

Therefore, in the emptiness there're no forms; 시고 공중무색

No feeling, thought, will, awareness; 무 수상행식

No eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, perception; 무 안이비설신의

No sight, sound, smell, taste, touch, object; 무 색성향미촉법

No from the visible world to no conscious world; 무 안계 내지 무 의식계

No ignorance and, conversely, no realization or 무 무명 역무 무명진 내지

No dying of old and, conversely, no eternal life; 무 노사 역무 노사진

No way for pain and attachment to disappear; 무 고집멸도

No realization and, conversely, no attaining. 무 지 역무 득

  Because nothing is attained, 이 무 소득 고

the Bodhisattva relies on prajna paramita. 보리살타 의 반야바라밀다

So his heart isn’t heavy. 고 심 무가애

Because the heart isn’t heavy 무가애 고

he has no fears, 무 유 공포

leaves far from the wrong thought, 원리 전도 몽상

studies ultimately Nirvana. 구경 열반

  Even in the past, present, and future, 삼세 제불

all Buddhas rely on prajna paramita, 의 반야바라밀다

and achieve Anuttara-samyaksambodhi.  고 득 아뇩다라삼먁삼보리

So know, 고지

prajna paramita is 반야바라밀다

a great mysterious mantra, 시 대신 주

a great bright mantra, 시 대명주

a supreme mantra, 시 무상 주

an unequalled mantra, 시 무 등등 주 

able to remove all suffering, 능 제 일체 고

genuine and not vain. 진실 불허

  So recite the prajna paramita mantra immediately. 고설 반야바라밀다 주 즉설주왈

Gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi svaha! 아제 아제 바라아제 바라 승 아제 모지 사바하
