For the first part I’m sorry to hear that, no one deserves abuse.
Secondly, if you wish someone could that’s really positive means you’re open to it. It’s the being vulnerable part that’s tricky, try baby steps like taking compliments. You look like if you got one good long hug you’d melt and be so sweet!
