This is my first public review for an adult product. By no means am I new to the adult toy scene, just reviews. So let me break this down for anyone reading this that may be interested in the Fleshlight Launch: BUY IT!
I am not getting paid for this review. I did not receive this product for free for a favorable review. I paid the full $200 for the Launch, and also full price for Stoya Destroya because I didn't realize there was a cheaper combo deal going on... But I digress.
First, I'd like to briefly mention my thoughts on Stoya Destroya. I've been using Mieki sleeves for the last five years or so and absolutely love them, but I wanted the full FL experience with the Launch. I'm not sure if the many years of using Mieki sleeves has "desensitized" me, but the Stoya Destroya sleeve just didn't do anything for me. The reviews online mentioned how tight and intense the sleeve was...not for me. Not that tight at all and the texture inside was minimal. Keep in mind, I'm of average length and above average girth, so my experience is most likely different from yours. Long story short, I inserted my "Spider Realism" sleeve into the Fleshlight case that came with Stoya and my experience was redeemed! On to the Launch review!
Point number one, this thing is heavy and bulky. Not a major deal breaker for me. However, because of this, it can be difficult to find a reasonable position to use this thing hands free. The performance of this device is good enough to where I can overlook that issue.
Point number two, Launch has admirable battery life! You can even use it for at least one 20 minute session out of the box. Fully charged, I've gotten 4 uses out of it, and I'm talking sessions ranging from 15 to 45 minutes! The downside is the charging time to get to full. 6 hours it what it takes. So basically an overnight ordeal while you sleep. Just don't forget to plug it in beforehand, or you'll be very disappointed when you wake up with that morning wood itch and can't scratch it using your Launch.
The most important point, performance! The Launch has two modes: interactive and manual. First up, interactive mode. I just dropped $280. I'm not paying a subscription for interactive movies. It's just not happening. Fleshlight or Kiiroo should have at least included a feel.tv one year subscription as a thank you for spending so much money on their product. With that said, Pornhub offers completely free Launch encoded interactive videos! Set up was a little convoluted with having to download special Android apps and looking them to websites from your laptop. But after initial setup, repeat usage is very easy.
I have not tried the Launch with VR, only the synced up 2D videos. While the motion of the Launch does seem to be in sync with the video I'm watching most of the time, when it's not it's super noticeable. But my main gripe with interactive mode is this: dead air/downtime. In many of the interactive videos I tried, there's significant downtime (moments where the actress is changing positions and taking their sweet time) where you're not feeling anything. Just watching the scenes play out in your favorite videos, you don't really ever notice the downtime because you're controlling your strokes as the performers change positions. Here using the Launch, when nothing is happening to the pecker on screen, nothing is happening to your pecker lol. And there's nothing you can do about it. Just have to wait it out. And for some users, like myself, it's a mood killer if you know what I mean... Interactive mode is a neat thing, and is legitimately great, barring you can find videos with consistent action.
In my opinion, manual mode is where this thing shines! You can control the speed of the strokes, as well as the length of the strokes! For someone of average length, I found that I could set the length of strokes to maximum and it wasn't a problem for me at all. For someone like me that's around 5 and a half to 6 inches, the top of the stroke stops right under the head of my dick and the bottom stroke goes all the way down and touches my pelvis. So maximum stroke length works for me.
Being able to manually set speed and length leads to great experimentation. You don't have to set the device to one setting the whole season. You can control your build-up. Want to get there fast, then slow things way down for some long edging sessions? You can totally do that! Want to start off slow, then gradually get faster and faster? By all means. There are enough combinations and variances you can cum up with, you'll never get bored.
My biggest negative with the Launch are the capacitive buttons. The main power button is exactly that...a physical push button. The Bluetooth button and settings functions are all capacitive. Want to crank up the speed? You have to swipe up across certain points. Or swipe down across these points to slow down. Same with length, you have to swipe. And these swipe motions are long! Problems I've ran into have been situations where my hand slips while holding device and my finger slides across the Bluetooth button, therefore exiting manual mode and stopping the machine. That's been the most annoying damn thing. I also had an issue where I set the Launch to make speed, blew my load and wanted to turn the speed to it's slowest setting and just ride that wave. However, after about 20 frantic attempts to swipe down on the speed setting area, I couldn't get the damn thing to slow down! So I got a nice little "post orgasm torture" that I wasn't expecting lol. So just keep in mind that the capacitive buttons on the Launch are unreliable sometimes.
With all that said, this device is revolutionary. I've been waiting for something like this for years. And when you look at something like the Vorze and it's insane price point, the Launch is priced very reasonable! I always thought something like this would cost more than the Vorze Cyclone, but I was happily mistaken. In my opinion, if you have a Fleshlight case, purchase a sleeve from a different manufacturer. Fleshlight textures just aren't realistic enough for me. When you compare the inner sleeve textures side by side to those from Mieki, you clearly see the difference. You will feel the difference, too! So my final thought is just to go out and buy the Launch! I've only had it for a short while, so who's to say how long lasting or truly well built the Launch actually is, but so far it's been well worth the price of admission!
Final Score: 9/10
