I wonder if you know what your words mean to me
Post Body

C,

You texted me yesterday. How did you know I needed to hear from you? I was having a really really rough morning and was missing you and lonely. It was one of those days where you felt so far away, and I was wondering if you'd started to forget about me. Then, out of nowhere, I get, "Hang in there. I know how hard this is. I love you Ro." It's the I love you. That's what got me. My heart caught in my throat reading those words. They are words you've spoken or typed hundreds of times probably... but I really needed them in that moment. I wasn't sure if you had time for a conversation or were just popping in, so I just told you I loved you too, and let you go on with your day. But I want you to know it meant a lot. Your words always mean a lot, and with as much as you assume I already know how you feel... and I do know... hearing you say that you love me is still so important. I have reread that text so many times since you sent it, and will probably keep reading it over and over until I hear from you again. Thank you. Thank you for making sure I'm not here in the dark... in the silence. Just know, it doesn't take much to pull me out of that place, to feel you again. Thank you for giving me that yesterday, and keep reaching out. It might seem small, but it means so much to me, every single time.

I love you too,
Ro 🌸
