What if the unifying component of our existence is observation. I THINK THEREFORE YOU ARE. If even the most micro to the most macro systems exist as a yardstick with which the universe uses as a tool to cement reality from subjective quantum states into the objective reality, and given that individual particles and systems inside this universe historically coalesce into more complex systems and molecules, then I theorize that the purpose of existence would then be to gradually increase the complexity of those systems in an effort to better measure and define the system as a whole. On the quantum level, each of the components that make up objective reality constantly measure the existence of its neighboring particles and forces that comprise the building blocks of existence, and the combined observations and measurements of these quantum particles and forces the compromise the empirical evidence of more macro forces like gravity.

Imagine building a computer whose job was to gradually improve it processes and programs over time with the goal of being able to explain its design to the point of being able to replicate itself. The earliest bits of data can only measure the existence of the other bits of data untill they begin to coalesce into processes and later programs which further define how the data can be restructured and interact inside the systems. As programs become more developed they would become specialized for the overarching goal of the system, but much like a calculator can't help with spelling, then so too is a lizard or a star only useful for some observation and measurement. Therefore the system would eventually create a program capable of being self aware of its role in the system but also capable of designing the tools needed compensate for the limitations of its current operating system so that the system can better understand the entirety of its self to the point of being able to recreate the pc again, to its same exact specifications, but inside of the orginal pc. This would be the point of singularity. I am not theorizing that we live in a simulation, despite how this reads, that is not an assumption I can make. However, the historical record of the evolution of life as it further adapted to exploit it's environment, the emerging new evidence of quantum quasi particles and even evidence of some bacteria¹ utilizing quantum measurements in order to lock the objective reality of our shared existence in place, and the driving urge of humanity to define and create complex tools to define the nature and functions of existence led me down this rabbit hole. This does not answer why the universe exists, nor do I make any claims of who may have created it. I do however make the claim that the purpose of our existence is simply to be; and then greater goal of designing tools to better understand the nature of existence would extended from the lofty experiments in places like the Large Hadron Collider at CERN all the way down to the simple observation of a child playing with a water table, as these are both , in essence, tools to help better understand the properties that make up existence.
