The "1 Plywood Sheet Shop Setup Wonders" I Have Found
- My list is poorly organized, I am also limited to "20 images/40K characters", sorry about that
- My apologies of any of these are repost of plans posted before
- I would hazard a guess that there are over 100 plans here
- You may be forced to redraw a few by hand, from detailed measurements (or images)
IF YOU WANT SOMETHING NOT HERE > just post a comment, I'll try to add it
- GERMAN READERS > I request assistance translating relevant sections of "plywood toolbox"
- If a link "breaks" or somehow hits a "paywall", post a comment here > I'll fix it
SEEKING PLANS > ONE SHEET, DRAWERED HANGING FILE CABINET (For Shop Accounts/Etc)
- Close, no cut diagram: Link 1 drawer/hangers ( "printer tray"), slides/1x2 can be plywood/DIY
- FOUND IT, FINALLY! takes a little visual inspection to add above "hanger" & Drawer resizing
- Here is a composite plan I tossed together > cut "slots" insert movable plywood hanger rail
After getting a radioactive, pressure treated, splinter... I became obsessed with efficiency
- PS: My profile is littered with similar posts

Notes
COST: Depending on local costs.. most of this is less than $50 to $100 each (cheaper in OSB)
- Locally, for me, 4x8 OSB in 5/8" is only $33 new (about $25 for, rarer, "uncut left overs")
- somewhere in the ballpark of 10 to 15 sheets, of mixed 5/8" OSB & Plywood, could outfit most shop Benches, Stands/Furniture & Storage for under $1000 (Canadian) taxes in
Looks: (minor issue, IMHO)
- OSB = see the bench/chair below (unfinished)
- Plywood = Look below at how nice that cleat wall ended up "roughly finished"
- Note: Notice many items double as Rustic/Craftsmen/Shaker, MCM/Deco & Gothic furniture
"Doubles" Example:
- AP Shop Table 4x "Piano" Chairs = 0% Waste Two (2) Sheet Craftsmen Dining Room Set
Strength:
- See Cleat Wall "test" video
- How Strong Is Plywood? detailed AF
- PB is sawdust glue (F NO), MDF & HDF "Unit Fail" (crack) & are TOXIC (formaldehyde off gas)
- OSB... 2 1/4" Thick?
//
Enough "Blah Blah", We Want PLANS!
//
THE 500lbs Handcart (if this cant move "it", get a friends help)
- The "500lbs HAND TRUCK" is the very last item (see end of my post), this one is the first item
- Its a Hand-Wagon, Wheelbarrow, Dolly... whatever its a cart with 2 BIG WOOD WHEELS
- Link its a CNC/Jigsaw design thats slightly wasteful, but the sawdust is golden
- OSB is a no.. there is so much sudden loading. SEE CLEAT WALL "break test" video
- Wheel design alone is GOLDEN
A Twelve (12) Sheet "Wood Shed" (Shed/Shop/House)
- About $7.75 per square foot (At 64sq ft its $500, insulated/finished)
- Link Beats any store bought storage shed/shop (or House!), in cost per sq ft
- Note: Will also need a Eight (8) 2x4's that are 8ft long, for the 8x8ft (64sq ft) unit
- Scales well to, roughly, 16x24ft (384sq ft) before roofing it becomes "costly/hard" DIY
- Should be able to support a roof lumber rack, or sleeper loft
- Link "TWIN" Add-on / Secondary Building "Kitchen/Bathroom/Sleeper loft" building
Wood Veneer Business Cards & Wallets/Card Holders!
- Plywood, NOT VENEER (the iron on roll stuff), Designer confused terms
- Link Excellent for Carpenters, Contractors & Makers/Artists using wood as a medium
- Heavier Stock Card holder / Lighter Stock "Fold Open Wallet"
- Make an impact! This gets a near top spot!
A Plywood Door! Slightly under a sheet for a "Standard Door"
- Link useful scales well!
- The “core” is 25-1/2″ x 80″:
EVERYTHING HERE (2 links ITS GOOD/FREE, 18 Projects!)

- But some of the below, similar items, are better designed
33" Tall Cubbies/Step-Stool/Mini-Stairs Combo (Single Step)
- Combines a lot of useful storage in a stool/step/stair. Its well made, with 4 shorter steps
- Link
80" x 28" Lipped Shelf Stand - Tall 6x Shelf
- Angled/Back Slanted, Lipped Bookshelf, for Manuals/Drafts/Paper Storage

- Link
- Alt CORNER unit Link can be 1/4 sheet & 1/2 sheet, or MADE 8FT SIDEWAYS AS A CORNER DESK
Portable Clipboard/Box
- Link, easily combined with > Link Small Drafting/Writing Pad
- its instrument "insert box" section/stand alone link
- More professional than a clipboard, smaller than an office in a box
Pick A Toolbox (& Tote/Chest) & Dolly

- Link Small Dutch Tool Chest / Link Lower Unit (making it "Large") / Link Full Unit (few sheets?)
Plywood Gears & Sprockets
- woodgears.ca gear generator. < use this
- Link - A much better/ergonomic way to turn knobs/cranks
- TURN BOTH moxon vise knobs at once with one hand crank
- "Right Angle" (AKA: "Change the plane of rotation") Gear/Sprocket
- This will turn a treadle lathe/bandsaw/jigsaw/belt sander into a drill press/drum sander
- This is so easy its crazy
Plywood Knobs (Both, "screw" & "nut" type)
- free (I cant link directly to pdf)
- The ONLY type of use MDF is suitable for IMHO ("flash")
- In my area OSB is still cheaper than MDF though (and all round better)
Small Plywood Moxon Vise (need Eye Bolt Nut)
- Making A Twin Screw Vise
- 5/8"? > cut FOUR (4) 4" x 16" ( ) sections, then glue together two (2) back to back, for a pair
- this will give you two (2) 1-1/4" plates as grips. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN (500lbs of force = fail)
- CAN GROW TO TAIL/LEG vise, with scaffold screw and more layering of plates
- SEE CLEAT WALL "break test" video >> Plywood ONLY!
- Not going at match a "Steel Engineers" vice with plywood, imho
Anti-Stab (Chisel/"Saw Throw") Plywood Shop Vest/Apron
- Link ("Yukinoshita Do")
- Need piano hinges, "bending" the plywood is optional, but will improve fit
- Apron/Thigh Addon ("Yoroi Kanagu Mawar") (I assume you chisel closer to thighs than chest)
- Piano hinges "chain" from vest or affixed to apron itself
Plywood Safety Glasses (*only for show)
- Link Need safety lenses or solid wood lens with "snow google" slits
Air Cleaner Box, Vacuum Hose Holder & Down-Draft Box
- Clean is good! Just add box fan & air filter
- YES! the screw knobs/handles can be wood also
- Sectioned hollow boxes, I think you can handle this minus plans. The arm is popular (google)
Shop Business (Writing/PC) - 70" x 26" Desk & 26" x 22" Stool
- Odd: Desk almost looks like a "big chair" at the right angle
- Link NO OTHER ADULT "1 SHEET" PC DESK HAS A SEAT INCLUDED
- Stool: 26" x 22" (17" wide)
- Desk: 70" x 26" (31"H worktop) 2x Shelves 1x Worktop under tray (keyboard slide-out)
- Three (3) Alternatives:
- "Writing Desk" alternative, with ONLY 1x drawer
- "Hide Away" alternative (Slim Folding Surface "Secretary")
- Link Alt, VERY STURDY (no stool)
- Link 1/2 Sheet "Very Small" adult/sturdy desk
Companion "Clean PC Office/Paperwork/Drafting Pad" in a box
- Keep paper/laptop (typewriter?) clean, and well lit
- Link Clean Work/Storage (Office) Box
- Link Small Drafting/Writing Pad
Wall Mounted Drafting Stand Black/Whiteboard (NOT "Pad")
- Link Pay what you want, including FREE ($0)
- Includes "Rolled Tube" Storage
Full Size Drafting Table (NOT "Pad" Or "Stand")
- Link = See "4x8 Scaled" plan
Drafting/Plans/Generic Plywood "X-gonal" (insert #) Tubes
- Hex Image / Oct Image / up to 16 sided Image
- Visualization of bevel cuts
- Up to 16x 4ft Tubes = 1" x 45" hex tubes with 3/4" interior (6x 45x1" strips/1x1" plate, 1x1" cap)
French Cleat Wall - 48" x 60" - Seven (7) 48" Cleats/Holders
- Cheaper/stronger/more universal than pegboard.. if your still debating, both have ideal use, cleats suit fixed storage better (IMHO)
Weight/Size:
- Testing in 3/4" shows the weakest (OSB), on 3" by 3" cleats, = Safe 250lbs, stress damage = 260lbs, total failure = 540lbs (WHO IS HANGING ITEMS OVER 200LBS PER SQ FT?)
- by this math, for hand tools/light power tools, a 2" by 2" cleat, in 5/8" OSB is safe to 115lbs
- IMHO: a 2" x 2" cleat (9x cleats), in 5/8" OSB, is ideal for "your 1st hand tool/bin" = 100lbs wall
Pic:
- It is 4x5ft back plate < this size is arms reach access, fully, from standing front/center of it
- The 3 1/2" slat is glued & nailed to the plywood sheet, and the 2 1/2" slat is used on the back of the tool holders.
Plan: (hastily tossed together by OP/me)
- Optionally leave TWO (2) cleat strips uncut, as ONE (1) 48" x 8" strip, to make "plates/boxes/etc"
Split Cleats in half, lengthwise, on a 45 degree bevel
Sander & Sandpaper Organizing Cabinet
Router/Drill Bit Organizing Cabinet
62" x 25" (7-1/2" Deep) - 48 Bins Organizer (Tall)
- Link
- "Small" bins: 6-1/4" wide, 3-3/4" high, 7-1/2" depth.
28" x 20" (40" Tall) Three (3) Lipped Open Compartments Box
- Link (Originally Designed for Records/CDs). One big compartment, other divided in two
- Excellent for short lathe blanks/dowles & various stuff/bins that dont stack well
44" x 28" (20-1/2" deep) "Wide 4 Shelf/2 Drawer Light" Cabinet
- Link - its fairly light, good for paint/stain & glue/filler, or sandpaper, type stuff
- But its big! 2x drawers, 2x doored 4 shelf cabinet
48" x 24" (12" deep) -- "Wide 3 Door/6 Shelf" Cabinet
- Someone PLZ explain WHY one cabinet is 15-3/4" when the other 2 are 15-7/8"???
- Redrawing cut diagram, by hand, I can fit it all 3x cabinet boxes/doors/shelves at 15-7/8"
- that makes the whole unit, roughly, 48-1/4" wide, assembled, leaving a 1/8" scrap line
- Or did I screw up? or make an error?
48" x 24" (16" deep) -- "Tall 1 Door/3 Shelf" Cabinet
- Note: This pic, is an example of why TAKING CARE IN sanding/finishing, is a GOOD IDEA
- I have yet to try, BUT I feel if cuts are turned 90 degrees & rearranged the cabinet could be up to, 1" wider, deeper or taller. But this would give it odd ball sizing (but I hate waste)
33" x 24" (18" deep) -- "Tall 3 Drawer" Chest of Drawers
- Perfect height!
- Unbacked/no face frame
- Drawer bottom as slides or rail on rail (or commercial slide rollers)
Heavy Duty Wall Mounted Lumber Rack (1 sheet)
- Build Video Link No plans but good video, its HEAVY DUTY
- Includes a built in mini desk with stool (needs some fabric)
Two (2) Folding Lumber Storage Rack -- 96" Tall!
- Medium duty, if you want heavy, in plywood, you need to screw/glue for stronger stock
- Using cutouts as "caps/tops" and "wall securement plates" as in lower pic
- Full bottom shelf, slightly smaller size top shelf/cap = store 4x8ft sheets
- OSB is NOT suitable at the cost vs plywood, due to thickness needed for "strength"
- SEE CLEAT WALL "break test" video (we are talking up to 1000lbs per support)
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQ1SD6TixzI&list=WL&index=3 HEAVY DUTY
Lumber Storage Cart -- 35" x 21" (30" tall caster height)
- No 2x4's used, holds a few full 4x8ft sheet on the rear 4" lip, clipped or bungeed for safety
Workbench - 48" x 24" (33" tall) (No plan yet) 5x drawer/1x cubby
- only sawdust was left unused by the GENIUS designer
- 2x full drawers front, 3x mini drawers on one side, 1x 80% depth 4" cubby opposite side
- Dedicated areas for tail & leg vices (2x vices), Dog holed across top (both when finished in videos)
- I have detailed measurement (app derived), but no cut diagram
- But I do have the detailed build video (I am working on plans)
- My Alt plan
Four (4) Stacking Sawhorses
- These are popular, & stack, but do not fold
- OSB maybe, SEE CLEAT WALL "break test" video
All Purpose Table 63" x 40" (30" Tall)
- Thats a big/strong table!
- "Piano Cut" parson(?) style chair (5x compact / 4x standard, needs additional sheet)
Open Face Storage (Two Types, 1 sheet each)
- very spacious for materials consumed
EIGHT (8) Folding Sawhorses
- The VERY DEFINITION of "light duty"
- OSB, is risky, they are screwed together. SEE CLEAT WALL "break test" video
Five (5) Folding Chairs
- 5x as "compact office/shop" sized, 4x when "typical full dining" sized
- the "Piano Cut" here is a better dining style, if after that type
Compact Router Cabinet (If Legs are plywood, its under 1 sheet)
- No need for fancy bent legs, imho, but concept/size is great
Table Saw Station (minus caster plate/tote box)
- Its very compact, and low waste construction
Flip-Top Tool Stand (Only uses 1 4x8ft OSB/Plywood Sheet)
Two, and a bit, (2 ) Leg Stand Stations
- simple, safer than "jerry-rigging" a sawhorse setup
Double Duty Show Stool (less than 1 sheet, combo with below)
- Its very useful, and easy to make
500lbs 2-Wheel Hand Truck / Full Sheet Tote (less than 1 sheet)
- Save your back!
- OSB is a no.. there is so much sudden loading. SEE CLEAT WALL "break test" video
- Wheel design alone is GOLDEN
