My heart hurts when I hear couples argue in heated ways, My mind screams in agony as I listen. My body wants to laugh, cry and scream I can't seem to figure out what to do Is it a phase, or is it a sign? Am I broken from all the hate in people's eyes? I'd this world dying from the inside as we rage for justice? Losing sight of our true goal for peace As we ransack and destroy lives of those around us. A broken works is one we've created. Twisted into a web of lies where the good is overshadowed The wicked in the lime light as the good drown in their decay All I hear is more bad news everyday A disease that rages on Or the disease in our hearts that makes us stay away.
