We love meeting respectful people who recognize us from Reddit at Blacks Beach, and have had many good encounters. Many of these guidelines should be common sense, but unfortunately they are based on actual encounters at Blacks that we would not like to repeat.

1. Only approach when we are both together. Do not wait for Lloyd to go surfing and then approach Diane alone. If what you have to say can’t be said in front of Lloyd, then you shouldn’t be saying it.
2. You should be naked. If we’re naked, you should be naked, otherwise there is a power imbalance.
3. Limit your visit to no more than 10 minutes. If we wanted you to put your towel down and join us for the duration of our visit, we’d ask. We mostly go to the beach to chill out as a couple, or occasionally with another couple.
4. Keep your cell phone put away. Neither one of us are taking a picture with you, so don’t ask. We post plenty of nude pictures if you want pictures of us naked. We don’t post our faces for a reason, and we don’t need people walking up, possibly recording us.
5. If we want to talk about sex with you, we’ll bring it up (and we won’t). Just because you’ve seen us have sex online, doesn’t make it appropriate to ask a bunch of personal questions to someone you’ve just met for the first time. If you have a question, ask it here or comment on a picture.
6. A handshake is cool, a hug is not.
