Some of you reading this have applied for or are in the process of applying for full-time student loans from the Alberta and Canadian Federal government.
Unfortunately, it seems there has been a drastic reduction in the amount full time students are awarded for the academic year:
The government has reduced the amount of ASGFT for eligible students for the 2022/2023 loan year. The maximum ASGFT that eligible students receive is $250/month for 2022/2023 loan year; while itβs $375/month for 2021/2022 loan year.
Edit. The quote is from the award letter I received as part of this year's full-time loans.
