Contemplating Whether to Drop Out of PHIL 325 due to sudden health issues
Post Body

Hello there, I really need some advice. I know the drop out date is April 4th and I have a second midterm on March 28th. I am a second year student and will take a course in the spring sem. I am taking 4 courses, which means I will only have 3 courses if I drop this one.

On wednesday or thursday, I went to to health centre with complaints of a sore throat. I was tested for strep throat and and currently waiting on the results. On saturday, I woke up with a fever and chills. I could not keep food down all day, and vomitted all day. On sunday, it died down, but the aches and constant coughing persist. I have a 40% from the first midterm and fear failing. I heard a W is better than a D or F. But my parents pay for tuition and do no want me to drop out. I fear I will not recover in time, I still feel sick and have stomach issued. Someone please give me some advice.

Edit: Spoke with my parents and they agreed as long as I don't withdraw again without a legitimate reason. The schedule calendar says "withdrawn" next to it and I dropped out for 'health concerns', would I need to wait for an email or some other form?
