I am in Australia so I would love to know how a type writer manufactured in the Weimar Republic in 1927 ended up in Australia!

They didn’t know anything and had it purely as display, previous owner before that had bought it with the idea of repairing it but “couldn’t get the ribbon off” it was just wound off the spool and over time and patience I got it off. I already know from the guys at Charlie Foxtrot I have to keep the spool and reroll ribbon (sounds awfully messy but I’m keen to give it a go)
So long story short I think any solid provenance is gone and all I know is it’s made in late 1927 after they moved the factory.
